Founder's Bio

David J.P. Fisher’s passion for growth and development starts with himself and has allowed him to develop and influence thousands of others through his professional career. Working with a mixture of practical business experience, academic background, and spiritual awareness, David provides a framework for others to create their authentic selves.

His first real exposure to a professional sales environment came after his junior year in college when he began selling Cutco Cutlery for Vector Marketing. He enjoyed working with a company that would directly reward him for his efforts and he rose to become one of the top ten sales performers in the country. After graduation, he became the Chicago District Manager for Cutco/Vector — responsible for developing hundreds of sales representatives. He then went into sales training and management for Brinks Home Security, one of the largest security providers in the world.

It was at the beginning of his career as a sales professional that David became interested in the power of personal development. He saw that intangible skills — attitude, work ethic, self confidence, and purpose — differentiated the top performers from the rest. As he focused on his own intangible skills, through reading, attending seminars, and working with his own coach, his performance increased by leaps and bounds.

As his management and training style embraced the power of coaching concepts, it was an easy transition for David to found RockStar Consulting. David focuses on a whole-person approach to human development, and is fascinated by the areas where seemingly unrelated ideas combine into new concepts. Whether it's how new technology affects relationship building, or how Eastern spirituality can influence the Western workplace, David brings a grounded practical outlook, combined with a true openness to outside ideas to his practice.

Today David is a coach, speaker, salesman, writer, meditator, marketer, musician, son, friend, brother, slam poet, clairvoyant, comedian, swing dancer, lover of life, teller of bad jokes, yoga enthusiast, and average cook. He lives in Evanston, Illinois, next to a beautiful cemetery (which reminds him every morning of how precious life is) and he shares his house with his cats, Swing and Big T.
