About David J.P. Fisher

David J.P. Fisher’s passion for growth and development has allowed him to influence thousands of others during his professional career.  Today, as a coach, speaker, author, and president of RockStar Consulting he continues to create a powerful impact on individuals and organizations as he works to help them become RockStars!

David’s background combines entrepreneurial sales experience with strategic and academic training.  While getting his history degree at Northwestern University, he worked for Cutco Cutlery, quickly becoming one of the top ten sales representatives in the country.  After graduating, he ran the Chicago office for Cutco/Vector, training over 1,500 salespeople, and then went into sales management for Brinks Security.  It was these experiences that gave him the foundation to start RockStar Consulting.  

A sought-after business coach, David works with professionals to help improve their performance and peace of mind.  He focuses on combining the tangible business tools with the intangible communication and leadership skills that differentiate top performers from the rest.  David takes a whole-person approach to development, and is fascinated by the areas where seemingly unrelated ideas combine into new concepts.

He delivers training programs and keynote presentations to a wide variety of audiences, speaking on topics such as Sales and Communicating, Networking, and Business Development.  Combining his business experience with his performance background, he is able to communicate relevant and powerful information in an easily accessible manner.

He is also a prolific writer, authoring two books (Step by Step Networking and The Book of Habits) and writing over 150 blog articles which have been featured as far abroad as Shanghai.

David lives in Evanston, Illinois, next to a beautiful cemetery (which reminds him every morning of how precious life is), and he shares his house with his cats, Swing and Big T.  He is a coach, speaker, salesman, writer, meditator, marketer, musician, son, friend, brother, slam poet, clairvoyant, comedian, swing dancer, lover of life, teller of bad jokes, yoga enthusiast, and average cook.
